CEMEX
Why can’t cement be at the core of cutting carbon?
CEMEX is one of the world’s biggest names in cement, concrete and aggregates – and, as such, understands it has a responsibility to drive forward sustainability across the built environment.
The story.
Drawing together climate action, circularity and natural resource management to deliver sustainable excellence through its Future in Action programme, CEMEX’s ambition is to become a net-zero CO2 company. And, at the forefront of this ambition is product innovation – in this case, in the form of CEMEX Lower Carbon Cement.
Part of its Vertua® range of lower-carbon cements, it’s designed to lead the way following regulatory changes in the roadmap to cutting carbon across architecture and construction, by using non-cement ingredients in its makeup that – crucially – maintain and even enhance performance.
The thinking.
Our task: to devise a standout way of encapsulating the benefits of this blended product – and our solution took this blending as our key concept. Bridging both natural and built environments, we blended visuals and messaging to succinctly deliver a unified truth: that cutting carbon doesn’t have to mean compromising on your architectural vision.
The execution.
Through a multichannel campaign across advertising, digital, social media, and key sales tools, we helped UK construction realise that making sustainable specification choices, even in everyday materials like cement, goes beyond cutting carbon – it’s a core part of building a better world for generations to come.
